About the role
Following the change of organisation structure in Complete Seat Operations Europe, Adient is searching for a new Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer. In this position you report to the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager for the JIT Ops North region. The Senior AME role will support and assist Manufacturing Engineering activities in the Torslanda and Assenede Plants.
Responsibilities due to this position will involve processing development and assembly sequencing (process flow chart) for new programs. Planning, order and installation of new assembly equipment and perform cost analysis of product and process alternatives (investments and assembly time).
Travel will be required as part of the role, but it is expected that the majority of the work will be in Adient’s Torslanda plant for the next few years.
Your profile
To be successful in this role you need to have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) or similar / University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. We see that you have a minimum of 6 years’ experience within the field and OEM or Tier One automotive seating or interior trim work experience.
You have experience in Project Management withing the international environment, in budgeting and cost control and you also have strong computer and manufacturing skills. In this position it´s also important that you have experience equipment selection, purchasing and installation and process and equipment development. We also see that you possess experience in plant layout drawing-up using AUTOCAD.
Experience in MTM/TiCon is desirable.
