Logistics and Warehouse Manager

About the role

The Logistics and Warehouse Manager reports to the Head of Supply Chain. You will be part of the Supply Chain Management Team where you together with your colleagues drive the success of the Supply Chain department.

In this position you will be responsible for coordinating the logistic flow from our global supplier base to our customers and shipyards mainly in China and Europe. You will lead a team of 10 logistics and warehouse professionals to ensure customer satisfaction and that both outbound and inbound logistics flows are working properly. This position requires excellent stakeholder management skills, and you will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best supply chain strategy from a delivery and total cost perspective.

hands on approach. You perform excellent leadership and communication skills to build and maintain relations with different stakeholders. You have a great ability to handle many tasks in parallel to meet business-driven deadlines and commitments and work proactively to ensure quality and development in your processes. Furthermore, we believe you have a:

• University degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business, Economics or equivalent related field
• At least 5 years of experience from similar position
• Knowledge and experience of driving logistics and warehouse strategy work
• Experience with international logistics such as inbound and outbound freight handling
• Experience in procurement of logistics services

• Experience in working with special cargo/project logistics
• Experience working in ERP systems
• Good computer skills in MS Office and SAP or SAP B1
• Fluent in English - both verbal and written

Meritorious is to have previous experience of:

• Logistics/Supply chain in the maritime industry
• Customs regulations in China

Key Responsibilities

• Daily leadership of logistic coordinators and warehouse personnel to ensure our customer success
• Develop and ensure the strategic work within logistics and warehouse to support the continuous growth and development of our different business lines
• Continuous training, development and enrichment of your personnel in order to succeed with both todays and tomorrow’s challenges
• Collaborate and communicate information related to the project with project managers, customer representatives, purchasing department, warehouse and others involved in the projects
• Be well acquainted with import and export documentation and regulation, customs regulations, legal requirements, and Letter of Credit

• Negotiating and purchasing logistics services
• Handling special cargo (oversized cargo)
• Plan together with the team the logistics flow, Sea, Road, Air to ensure that outbound and inbound flows are working
• Continuous contact with customers, freight forwarders, shipping companies and other global partners
• Optimize the logistics flow through structural changes and continuous improvements through close collaboration with the purchasing and warehouse departments

• Create and maintain guidelines and standards for proper shipping methods
• Recommend and implement new shipping procedures as necessary
