Accountant

We are seeking an engaging Accountant to join our team and support our financial growth and sustainability goals.

About the position

As an Accountant (A/R) you will manage and oversee all receivable related activities for our operations. The role involves handling client billing, monitoring incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will report to the Head of Accounting and be a key part of the accounting team, consisting of a Senior Accountant and an Accountant (A/P) in addition to yourself.

Areas of responsibility

Overall responsibility for the accounts receivables in MMT Sweden and MMT Norway:

• Invoicing to customers in SAP for MMT Sweden and MMT Norway
• Email distribution of invoices to customers
• Invoice quality control; check that all invoices have the correct information ensuring that all billing information is complete and compliant with contractual agreements
• Drive the collection process, including reminders to customers and escalate within MMT when required
• Daily download of bank statements
• Book all incoming payments in SAP
• Register new customers and make changes when necessary (Master data)
• Credit check of customers
• Check and handle questions in mailbox related to accounts receivables
• Support in monthly reporting (such as reconciliations of relevant accounts)
• Identify opportunities and propose ways to streamline and improve the accounts receivable process, enhancing efficiency and reducing the risk of errors
• Support and contribute to other tasks within the accounting team as and when needed

About you

To succeed in this position, we believe you are someone who possesses a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; preferred.
• Relevant work experience from Finance & Accounting
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, standards and laws
• Proficiency with accounting software/ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Office / Excel skills
• Experience from SAP B1 is an advantage
• Fluency in English and a Scandinavian language (writing/reading
