Site & Production Manager, Arendal/Gothenburg

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated manager to lead Arendal SSC unit. In this role you are responsible for leading the Arendal site with approximately 120 employees including the important areas safety and environment. About the position
As the Site & Production Manager at the Arendal unit, we expect you to lead the organization with passion, energy, and a strong commitment to business excellence, in line with SSAB Europe’s vision, values, strategy and principles. You will need to possess the skills required to manage a large organization and be able to effectively communicate and collaborate across different organizational levels, cultures and areas of expertise. You will also be expected to engage with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure alignment with business goals and customer expectations. In this role, you will report directly to the Sales Director for Sweden-Norway.
This position is based in Arendal, Gothenburg.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment, actively identifying and addressing risks and promoting a safety-first culture
- Ensure world-class production
- Plan, prioritize and lead resources to develop operations and profitability
- Drive employee engagement through regular feedback, coaching and performance management to ensure a motivated and productive workforce
- Manage the budget effectively and ensuring the organization is business-oriented
About you
- Excellent leadership, communication and production skills, at least 5 years of managerial experience
- A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- In-depth understanding of the steel industry
- Ability to build and lead large organizations
- Strategic and result-oriented mindset to drive long-term success
- Professional in Swedish and English
