Sales Manager

With its headquarters in Borås, one of Sweden’s and Europe’s leading textile cities, OCS has a history from the 1960s as a specialist in overhead conveyor systems for the clothing manufacturing industry. Since 1993, when OCS as it is today started, the market has expanded considerably. Today’s focus is on the automotive, aerospace, bicycle and surface treatment industries. With 45 employees in Sweden and 170 in total worldwide, OCS have sales offices in Sweden, Germany and the US, covering 30 markets worldwide. Annual revenue worldwide is around 30 MEUR (2022).
OCS is part of Axel Johnson International (AxInter), a global industrial group of more than 230 companies in 34 countries. AxInter is fully owned by Axel Johnson Group and drives business development and growth through a long-term approach to ownership in strategically selected niche markets, primarily technical components and solutions for industrial processes.
About the role
As Sales Manager you will report directly to the VP of Global Sales at OCS and be a central part of the OCS sales team. You will be responsible for driving sales in the Nordics and across Europe with a strong focus on solution selling and technical sales. You will work closely with the Technical Sales Support team as well as with After Sales, the other Sales Managers and the Project team.
As Sales Manager you are expected to:
- Take an active part in the OCS sales team
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the region.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients. Negotiate contract terms and conditions to close deals effectively.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Use this information to adapt and optimize sales strategies.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, including pipeline management and forecasting. Provide regular updates to VP Global Sales on progress toward sales targets.
- Work closely with the Technical Sales Support team, After Market team as well as the Project organisation to ensure client needs are met and projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote products and establish industry connections.
- Stay up to date with technological advancements and trends in the industry and propose strategic initiatives to enable business development within the Sales organisation
- Conduct customer site visits and identify sales opportunities for both new and existing customers
- Follow up and report on key KPIs
About you
We are looking for an individual with a passion for technical sales and new business development who also has an ambition to grow within and with the organisation. The right person has high energy and drive along with great relation building skills both inside and outside the organisation. You have a natural curiosity around customer focused selling, and you can see the bigger picture. You have a hunter mentality. High integrity is a matter of fact for you, and you deliver on your promises. You are used to working with KPIs and you are in control of your numbers. We believe you are operational as well as strategic in your mindset. You are highly results oriented and you aim for win-win solutions in your contact with customers and colleagues.
Furthermore, we believe you have a solid background from technical sales in an industrial as well as international setting.
We also believe you have:
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree within Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience from technical sales in an international context
- Previous experience from a similar industry is an advantage
- Relevant experience from industrial sales and project sales
- Experience from working in an international context
- Experience from working with KPIs
- Great communication and relationship skills
- Fluent in English and Swedish (additional European language is an advantage)
- Driver’s license (B)
